I graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in elementary education and a minor in middle school science. I love to teach others and am a lifelong learner. I have a constant need to learn new things, whether it is how to repair a dishwasher, the best watercolor paper to use, or where the nearest Earth-like planet is located. For 15 years I worked for Recreational Equipment, Inc. I worked in billing, fulfilling orders, and for the last six years of my time there I worked in the online fraud department. There, I used my strong attention to detail to carefully research online orders along with my teammates to annually prevent millions of dollars in fraud.
Ever since I can remember, I have always been the one that friends and family turn to when something needs proofreading. Spelling and punctuation errors seem to just leap off the page at me! I am quick to notice egregious mistakes in business names, slogans, and even their neon signs. There is also quite a lot of apostrophe abuse happening out there!
After leaving REI, I decided to take this love of reading and proofreading and turn it into a new career. I received a certificate of excellence from Transcript Proofreading: Theory & Practice, and I have been hard at work ever since. I absolutely love what I do and feel that this is reflected in the work that I produce.

I am a wife to my husband of 11 years and a mom to two young kiddos. We enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, and cooking together. I love true crime podcasts and documentaries, painting, and watching movies in my spare time. It would be my pleasure to build a working relationship with you. I hope to talk to you soon!
